Welcome to Illumi Player! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our app and website. By accessing or using Illumi Player, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By accessing or using Illumi Player, you confirm that you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the app or any of its services.

1. Subscriptions and Features

A subscription to Illumi Player provides access to premium features, including:

• SMB Player: Stream media from your own network devices via the SMB protocol.
• Emby Connect: Integrate with your Emby account to access your own server content.
• AI Recommendations: Receive personalised suggestions powered by artificial intelligence.
• AI Reviews: Access AI-generated summaries and insights about films and TV shows.

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and can be managed or cancelled through your Apple ID settings.

2. No Media Content Provided

Illumi Player does not provide, host, stream, or sell any media content.

All content accessed through the app must come from media that you personally own or host (e.g. via your SMB server or Emby library).

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app and any media content complies with all relevant copyright laws and licensing agreements.

3. Account and Authentication

We use Sign in with Apple for account authentication. We store only your Apple user ID, which allows us to:

• Identify your account
• Save your watchlist
• Generate personalised AI recommendations and reviews

We do not store your name, email, or any other personal information from your Apple login.

4. Data and Privacy

We only collect the minimum information necessary to operate Illumi Player, as described above. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Illumi Player for illegal distribution, access, or sharing of copyrighted media
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and features in the Illumi Player app — including branding, UI, and AI-generated content — are owned by Illumi Player or its licensors and are protected under intellectual property law. You may not reuse, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the app without written consent.

7. Changes to the Service

We may update or modify app features or subscription offerings at any time. Significant changes will be communicated within the app or on our website.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID settings. Access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are not provided for partially used periods.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

Illumi Player is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or continuously available. Use of the app is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under UK law, Illumi Player will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages arising from your use of the app or services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
